Redmine NLSR - Task #4384 (New): Use loopback interest to serve own certificatehttps://redmine.named-data.net/issues/43842017-11-16T10:30:09ZMuktadir Chowdhurymrchwdhr@memphis.edu
<p>Nlsr serves certificate to others from its own certificate store. To get certificate from others, Nlsr depends on DirectFetcher.<br>
But when it needs its own certificate to verify data/ interest (e.g. command interest sent from its own operator), it can't fetch it. We bypass the problem by putting the certificates in DirectFetcher's TrustAnchorContainer.<br>
This problem can be solved by using loopback interest. When Nlsr sets interest filter for its own certificate, we allow loopback interest. So when Nlsr asks for its own authoritative certificates, it can serve them from the certificate store.</p>
NLSR - Task #4139 (New): Add explanation for the unit-testshttps://redmine.named-data.net/issues/41392017-06-19T10:40:44ZMuktadir Chowdhurymrchwdhr@memphis.edu
<p>Many unit-tests do not have any explanation of which unit of program it is testing. At the beginning of each unit-test there should be a description of what that test does.</p>
repo-ng - Feature #4129 (New): Management Dispatcher for repo commandshttps://redmine.named-data.net/issues/41292017-06-14T07:34:49ZJunxiao Shi
<p>Use <code>ndn::mgmt::Dispatcher</code> for accepting insert, delete, and watch commands.</p>
NLSR - Task #3950 (New): Use CertificateBundleFetcher instead of DirectFetcherhttps://redmine.named-data.net/issues/39502017-02-06T15:23:01ZMuktadir Chowdhurymrchwdhr@memphis.edu
<p>NLSR used to use (in v1::security) its own Validator, inherited from ndn-cxx's Validator-Config, to provide functionality for certificate retrieval. </p>
<p>With the new v2::security, NLSR uses DirectFetcher to retrieve certificate.</p>
<p>Instead it should use the CertificateBundle protocol with the direct fetching capability. With this approach, all the certificate in the chain-of-trust can be fetched in one RTT.</p>
NLSR - Task #3595 (New): Document certificate generation processhttps://redmine.named-data.net/issues/35952016-04-12T09:36:08ZVince Lehmanvslehman@memphis.edu
<p>This task should add a section to <code>SECURITY-CONFIG.rst</code> that describes the process to generate the certificates necessary for a sample topology.</p>
NLSR - Task #3254 (New): Design automated key rollover processhttps://redmine.named-data.net/issues/32542015-10-09T07:35:55ZVince Lehmanvslehman@memphis.edu
<p>Currently when keys expire on the testbed, the NLSR process must be stopped, a new key(s) must be generated, the NLSR configuration file must be updated, and the NLSR process must be restarted.</p>
<p>This task should define the steps or process necessary to provide automatic detection of key rollover in NLSR without requiring NLSR to restart.</p>
