# NDN Forwarding Daemon (NFD) 

 **NDN Forwarding Daemon (NFD)** is a new NDN forwarder under active development. 
 Initial version 0.1.0 of NFD released on May 8, 2014.    Next released is scheduled for late August mid-June 2014. 

 NFD implements the following specifications:

 * [[NDNLP-TLV]] for Ethernet communication
