Task #1792
closedJenkins: build on Ubuntu 14.04 or 12.04 32-bit
Description
We need to have a 32-bit platform, either 12.04 or 14.04. Probably 14.04 would be better, since it is newer and still LTS.

Current Build Support requires us to build on Ubuntu 12.04 32-bit.
I basically agree with using Ubuntu 14.04 instead of 12.04.
I've sent a proposal to update Build Support section.

I can't find Ubuntu 14.04 32bit image on maestro.

Neither image is prepared yet.
This Task is blocked until the proposal in note-1 is either approved or rejected.
After that, I'll prepare an image according to the decision.

Please make 14.04 32-bit image. Doesn't matter what that document is saying, since we are defining what to do and we should do what makes sense.

Two 14.04-32bit slaves added (31802, 31807). Both slaves has a 20GB disk mounted on /home/jenkins just like the two 64bit slaves.

I'm confused. What's a point of the second disk? Why can't we just have one bigger disk on new VMs?
Updated by Junxiao Shi over 10 years ago
In VMAPI, the main disk is designed to store the system and small amount of user data only.
When a VM needs additional storage, a new disk is attached to the VM.
User shouldn't really care how the disks are partitioned and attached.
