Description
By default, ndns creates a /var/ndns
directory for its database. It is generally discouraged to create app-specific directories as direct children of /var
.
The FHS 3.0 says:
Applications must generally not add directories to the top level of /var. Such directories should only be added if they have some system-wide implication, and in consultation with the FHS mailing list.

A subdir of /var/lib
would be more appropriate.

Note that the PPA package compensates by passing --localstatedir=/var/lib
to waf.
