Name Component Type Assignment¶
This document provides reference to the assigned Name Component types as well as reserves the range of types for experimentation purposes.
Assigned types¶

Reserved ranges¶

| 2-7, 8-200 | Unassigned (1-byte encoding) |
| 201-252 | For experimental use (1-byte encoding) |
| 253-3200 | Unassigned (3-byte encoding) |
| 3201-32767 | For experimental use (3-byte encoding) |
| 32767+ | Invalid values (3+-byte encoding) |
