For stage 2¶

For the purpose of testing stage 2, I have created SRV record for _ndn._udp.ndnsim.net

dig _ndn._udp.ndnsim.net srv

In order for stage 2 to work, developer computer needs to include customize DNS search domain. On Linux/FreeBSD it is done by updating /etc/resolv.conf file to include line

search ndnsim.net

On MacOS, it is Network Preferences -> select active interface -> Advanced -> DNS and add ndnsim.net to the list of Search Domains.

For stage 3¶

Requirement one is to configure proper identity on developer machine. http://redmine.named-data.net/projects/ndnd-tlv/wiki/Configuring_security_credentials_using_ndnsec_tools instruction should be followed, with exception that instead of /tmp/<any-component-you-like> /ndn/edu/<site-name>/<anything-you-like> should be used.

DNS zone _homehub._autoconf.named-data.net is already configured with all proper records for all NDN testbed sites:
