Because of the requirement for Boost shared pointers in ndnrtc, and the non-default configuration and install instructions for ndn-cpp that are required, the docs should provide instructions on how to link to a version of ndn-cpp just for ndnrtc. This way, the ndnrtc installation doesn't place any requirements on the system-wide ndn-cpp. In fact, you may wish to include ndn-cpp as a git submodule of ndnrtc and provide configuration scripts.
