Bug #3222

NFD performance degradation over time using NDN-RTC
Added by Jeff Burke about 9 years ago.
Updated over 8 years ago.
Description
On non-HUB nodes (not using AccessStrategy so unaffected by #3219), NFD performance for NDN-RTC traffic degrades over time.
- Related to Bug #3219: AccessStrategy measurements ineffective for NDN-RTC traffic added
- Subject changed from NFD Performance appears to degrade over time using NDN-RTC to NFD performance degradation over time using NDN-RTC
- Description updated (diff)
Specifically, what performance metric is degrading? Throughput, delay, CPU usage, memory usage, loss rate, or something else?
How much traffic (in terms of duration or packet count) is needed to reproduce the said degradation?
- Related to Bug #3236: PriorityFifoPolicy memory leak added
- Status changed from New to Rejected
I'm rejecting this bug because there's no answer to note-2 question.
Even if there's some kind of "performance degradation" in Sep 2015, it's most likely caused by #3236 which occurs with or without AccessStrategy.
There's also no "end host degrade over time" report in #3485 note-8.
