NDN Forwarding Daemon (NFD)¶

NDN Forwarding Daemon (NFD) is a new NDN forwarder under active development.
NFD 0.4.0 was released on December 31, 2015.

NFD implements the following specifications:

• NDN packet format
• NFD Management protocol
• NFD Configuration file format
• NDNLPv2 is a link protocol for Named Data Networking
• Namespace-based Scope Control: /localhost and /localhop

• NDN hub discovery procedure to discover hub nodes on the NDN testbed.
